BUDMA International Fair for Construction and Architecture

From 10 to 13 March 2015, in the spring season, Poznań International Fair will for the second time host the greatest meeting of the construction industry representatives in the Central-Eastern Europe.  BUDMA International Fair for Construction and Architecture will be accompanied by WINDOOR-TECH Fair of Machines and Components for Window, Door, Gate and Facade Production, GLASS Glass Industry Fair, and CBS Sports Facilities and Amenity Area, which will all together make for a sort of synergy between the construction-related industries.

 

This year’s edition of the fair is a really impressive exhibition of the latest construction-related solutions. Hundreds of novelties and technological solutions will be presented by nearly 1000 exhibitors from a few dozen countries around the world. These will include lots of market premieres, an innovative machine park where windows will be produced live, the latest trends, special areas, as well as four days of exhibitions, lectures, and presentations. This, in a nutshell, is the short presentation of the BUDMA Fair. Visitors will have an opportunity to get familiar with 28 products which have been given the Gold Medal of MTP Award, a prestigious distinction, which is the confirmation of innovativeness and high quality of a product. On the other hand, as part of the BUDMA Premier Club, absolutely brand new products will be presented right here at BUDMA for the first time ever.

 

The Minister of Infrastructure and Development as well as the Minister of Economy both took the Honorary Patronage of the Fair. Polish Windows and Doors Association has become the content partner of the Fair.

 

BUDMA PREMIERE CLUB

Absolutely brand new, latest market products which will be presented for the first time right here at the fair in Poland include:

 

ProAqua – a roof gutter system. Made of plastic, the system is designed for draining rainwater off. The application of modern construction solutions makes the installation easier and also results in increasing the system’s efficiency as a form of roof redecoration. (BudMat, hall 8, stand 2)

 

DXW Flat roof window. The DXW Flat roof window can be walked on. It is not available on sale yet – an absolute premiere at BUDMA (Fakro, hall 5, stand 82)

 

Extreme Fix. Owing to its revolutionary formula, it is the strongest and most durable adhesive tape in the world! It connects all materials such as metals (iron, aluminum, copper), wood, glass, rubber, china, ceramics, plastics, and PCV elements together. (Filipowicz Group, hall 3, stand 67)

 

Galeco STAL2. A roof gutter system based on a square profile of the roof gutter and the downpipe. The new square drainpipe Galeco provides opportunities for a modern and aesthetic look of a house with an eaves. That is possible thanks to the under-ceiling masking frame, which is attached on gutter hooks and which covers the front part of the roof gutter, thus giving an impression of a smooth eaves. ACTION ONE PAD AUTO. A professional safety harness for performing hanging works, equipped in a double front catch loop: upper front (a shock absorbing rope or a self-locking mechanism), front hip (for hanging work or during evacuation emergency), back catch loop (a shock absorbing rope, a self-locking mechanism). Flat roof tile BERGAMO. The product is characterized by a completely flat surface (making it match modern architectural shapes perfectly) as well as high technical parameters. Polishing float TARNIK. A polishing through-float with an innovative 3-part handle, with integrated soft zones, made for better work ergonomics. The handle combines a modern design and comfort, and adjusts perfectly to every hand. (Kubala, hall 8A, stand 34)

 

BUDMA’S ARCHITECTURE

 

BUDMA’s fair organizers expect about 5000 architects for whom a wide range of dedicated events have been prepared. Thanks to close cooperation with the Chamber of Architects of Poland (Izba Architektów RP), the project known as Architectural Forum will be continued, where the debate “Mutual inspirations. What are architects inspired by and what is the difference between inspiration and copying?” There will be opportunities to have discussions with such individuals as Alberto Viega, Dmitrij Antonyuk, as well as a Pole, Piotr Szaroszyk. B?a?ej Pro?niewski from Polskie Radio, who deals with the widely-understood architecture, will moderate the debate. For young practitioners of the arts of architecture, there will be an opportunity to meet the representative of the young generation of architects, Przemys?aw ?ukasik, who is famous for his non-standard, innovative solutions and unpretentious approach, the author of, most likely, the most famous house in Poland – the Loft, being avant-garde of modern architecture.

 

Strada di Architectura will reveal the most interesting products, which are characterized by genuine design, yet being of the highest quality. Such companies as Fakro, Drutex, Porta Drzwi, Galeco, Arcelor Mittal, Hauraton, and Akademia Architekta will present their products.

 

BUDMA is also a place where “Architectural drafts” competition will be settled. It aims at presenting the skills of architecture students who take advantage of traditional techniques. There will be attractive prizes for the laureates of the competition.

 

ACADEMY OF EFFECTIVE DESIGN

 

The most often visited area among Polish designers!

 

The ARCHISPACE area was visited by 1776 architects and designers during the BUDMA Fair last year. On 10th March, PROCAD and MTP will again open the ARCHISPACE area. As usual, it will be a place, where every Polish designer will find the most up-to-date knowledge and novelties concerning the CAD systems and technological solutions which support designing.

 

ENERGY-SAVING AND PASSIVE CONSTRUCTION

 

Starting 2021, all newly-erected buildings are supposed to be fully-energy-saving; these are the requirements of the European Union. A little earlier, in 2019 the requirements will apply to public facilities. Modern construction is still trying to minimize energy waste, thus laying out brand new challenges. Is the industry ready for that? We will find out the answer at the BUDMA Fair. Energy-saving and passive construction is more and more often taken advantage of, which results not only from regulations and ecology, but also from measurable savings as far as using a building for a long time is concerned. We will learn about the most important advantages and concepts of energy-saving and passive construction during the 6th Forum of Energy-saving and Passive Construction. We will find out about economic benefits of making use of renewable energies, passive construction concepts, innovative thermo-insulation solutions, as well as technologies applied in uninhabited buildings and passive warehouses.

DAY OF DISTRIBUTOR

 

TRADING with the whole world? Why not? The first day of BUDMA will be focused on TRADE. All that will be the result of the Day of Distributor. The first day is dedicated to people who are responsible for choosing and purchasing construction assortment, owners and bosses of construction chain stores and warehouses, purchase directors and merchants from Poland and abroad. The Distributor Zone will facilitate business talks in comfortable conditions provided for in hall 3A.

 

HOSTED BUYERS at BUDMA 2015

 

It is the second time that the Hosted Buyers program will be carried out. Thanks to that, representatives of the most important chain stores from 17 countries will turn up in Poznań! BUDMA exhibitors, who participate in the Program, will have a unique opportunity to have talks with trade representatives from Algeria, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Canada, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Germany, Russia, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, as well as Italy. The pre-arranged business meetings will be taking place in hall 15, guaranteeing comfort of the talks, showing strong assets of the traders, as well as providing nice atmosphere. The first day will also reveal the best Distributors of Construction Materials of the Distributor of the Year 2015 ranking. The ASM Company – Research and Market Analysis Center has for the last few months been involved in carrying out research aiming at presenting the assets of traders, and helping clients choose the best offer and trade chains with respect to their needs. Prior to the Gala of award presentation, there will be a lecture titled “Service quality vs. sale efficiency in construction industry – system analysis and good practice.”

 

ROOFS AND FACADES – GREEN FUTURE OF URBAN CONSTRUCTION

 

Ecological and aesthetic assets of green construction in urban areas as well as education regarding proper designing and construction of roofs and green facades will accompany the topics of the 5th edition of the Conference organized by the Association of Flat Roofs and Facades (DAFA). The conference’s program deals with roofs and green facades, indicating that they reduce CO2 emissions thus making buildings more energy-efficient, improve the retention of rain water, and make it possible to restore green areas which were lost during construction processes.

 

The conference’s program is dedicated to architects, designers, constructors, construction engineers, contractors and constructors of roofs and green facades, as well as to developers, investors, lecturers and students of construction faculties, and to representatives of local governments.

DAYS OF CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERS

 

BUDMA will again become a venue for discussions on the latest issues concerning changes of laws and regulations, which hugely influence upon planned investments. As part of the Days of Construction Engineers (10-11 March), the first day will be devoted to such topics as amendments to the Construction Law, amendments to the act on construction products, public procurement law, as well as non-price criteria of offer assessment in public procurement.

 

The second day, on the other hand, will be a chance to find out about the BIM program (Building Information Modeling) and its capabilities, which was taken advantage of in the project of Stockholm by-pass, practical issues regarding intelligent public amenities, as well as non-conventional construction solutions of the ICHOT building in Poznań as a way of a bald realization of an architectural concept.

 

VIVA LIGHT EXHIBITION

 

VIVA LIGHT – exhibition of light, innovative technologies and materials.

 

It is the first edition of meetings for light architects, engineers, technologists, producers, agents, distributors, and suppliers of innovative materials, lighting and any other new technologies. The exhibition, which had its premiere at arena DESIGN 2015, inaugurates a wider initiative which gathers and activates the lighting environment and others as well. The idea of the project is to create a forum for cooperation of open-minded and non-conventional people, who aim to create good lighting products and exceptional lighting realizations in Poland and abroad.

The latest lighting products of Polish and foreign companies will be presented. These companies can boast numerous successes as far as perfectly designed lights and innovative lighting techniques are concerned. We will also present products of young designer groups, which pay a lot of attention to fresh approach to designing. We will present innovatory materials and non-conventional examples of traditional applications. The exhibition’s aim is to prove that it is worth investing in new design and modern technologies. The companies which invested in innovation shall become distinguishable on the market and shall guarantee advantage over other companies in terms of their competitiveness.

On the 12 March 2015, the 14th Congress of Polish Roofers Association will be held in the conference room in hall 7, just above the Good Roof Zone. Prior to the Congress, a Conference on ROOF VENTILATION will be held, and it will be organized by Polish Association of Roofers and its partners. At their stand, it will be possible to get information on the Association’s activities, possibilities of becoming a member, information on partners, and the products they offer. GLASS FAIR – GLASS MEANS ENERGY-SAVING

 

GLASS Industry Fair combines the exposition and presentation of the latest applications of the material in construction and architecture. Glass constitutes a very important fitting element in modern interiors, and owing to its universality, it offers almost unlimited options for application in the form of walls, railings, screens, stairs components, and floors. Its proper application also results in reducing energy use, which goes perfectly with the energy-saving trend. Glass can also increase safety while staying inside, while limiting noise coming from outside. More and more often, glass also plays the role  in modern, self-cleaning facades and outdoor glazing (roofs, skylights, winter gardens). On that account, the GLASS fair exposition will be interesting for glass product producers, representatives of green areas and plants, monument maintenance experts, as well as science representatives.

 

WINDOOR-TECH AND WINDOW PRODUCTION PLANT LIVE

 

The special WINDOOR-TECH area will again present a fully-equipped machine park, “Window Production Plant Live.” Over the four fair days, production of energy-saving PVC windows will be taking place. The windows will later be given for charity purposes.

The “Buy a window and help those in need” action was carried out at the charity website charytatywni.allegro.pl between January and February where individuals could buy a window of a chosen color and size. This way, we managed to collect orders for 23 pieces, the money of which, thanks to Caritas and as part of “Transfer heat”, will be given to large families and the elderly, who lack heating material for the winter. Particular Caritas branches of Polish dioceses and Poznań International Fair are the organizers. The other windows produced in the “Factory” will go to the Multi-Ethnic Children’s Village in Brzozowo.

The partners of the “Window Factory Live” include 8 companies of the window industry including Adams, Aereco, Aluplast, AFS Federhenn, MFO, Siegenia, Sadowski Software as well as Stomil Sanok. All the windows produced in the “Factory” will comply with technical norms of 2021. The Polish Window and Door Association will be the content partner of the Window Factory Live.

 

Moreover, those who have bought a window at charytatywni.allegro.pl will get an invitation to visit the fair and will have an opportunity to see how their windows are produced live in person.

 

This is already the third edition of “Window Factory Live”. At the last two editions, more than 250 windows were produced, and they were given to victims of flood in Bogatynia as well as to Caritas and Children’s Village in Brzozowo, the Podkarpackie region, which offer care services.
