SCHOTT Duryea on Its Way to Recovery

Post Time:Mar 18,2015Classify:Company NewsView:429

Just over a week after a fire hit SCHOTT Duryea, the company reestablished inspection, packaging, and shipping operations. Steady progress is being made in the recovery of materials, cleanup, and return to normal production operations.

The fire originally broke out in the warehouse, however, parts of production subsequently suffered from smoke and water damage. Efforts are underway to restore the plant. “Many customers and partners have expressed their confidence in SCHOTT, which has motivated us even more,” explained Plant Manager Michael Brown. “In the meantime, we are setting up a delivery schedule for each customer and product group. The first customer shipments left our facility last Friday, only two days after the fire was extinguished,” Brown said.

SCHOTT will provide further updates as information becomes available.
