While construction spending edged up just 0.1 percent from May to June, it increased 12 percent compared to June 2014, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Construction spending reached an estimated seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,064.6 billion in June, up from $950.3 billion in June 2014. Spending for the first six months of 2015 was up 8 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
