In Uzbekistan, the launch production of glassware

Today the market of Uzbekistan is represented by an extensive range of dishes, mostly imported products, but soon the situation will change: AK "Uzeltehsanoat" implemented the project, according to which of "Onyx Tashkent" will be the only one in Central Asia, a large enterprise for the production of glassware.

The company "Onyx" in the recent past was economically untenable and unprofitable, despite the fact that the country has a great demand for a variety of lighting fixtures.

On the basis of "Onyx" it created a new company "Onyx Tashkent", which implements a new project aimed at the production of glass. As UzA reported with reference to the expert AK "Uzeltehsanoat" total cost of the project amounted to more than $ 30 million equivalent. Organization of production was carried out in two stages. The first envisaged the creation of the assembly shop Lighting equipment, designed to produce 20 thousand pieces a year. It purchased the appropriate equipment, created 30 jobs. At present, there is produced 26 models of chandeliers and sconces 5 models.

The second phase of the project was the organization of production of glass products. Given that the technological equipment for the production of such products are not produced in Uzbekistan, industry experts work has been done on the study of the world market of equipment for production of glass products, and organized a competitive selection of a supplier, the winner of which was the company "Stara Glass SpA" (Italy).

Today, the company completed installation and commissioning. In the near future it will begin production of 16 kinds of glass and 29 kinds of glassware, including plates, glasses, wine glasses, and more. The level of localization of production of more than 50 percent. In the future JSC "Uzeltehsanoat" plans to implement several investment projects, which will contribute to the saturation of the domestic market with high quality products under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan".
