Glassman starts in style

Exhibitors reported a 'fantastic' first day at the Glassman Latin America event in Mexico.

Attendees from hollow glass manufacturers from countries including Mexico, Argentina, USA and Venezuela visited the event on the first day.  Delegations from companies including Fevisa, O-I Mexico and Grupo Pavisa were among those attending.

Italian exhibitor Leonardo Pirazzoli of Satinal said it had been a fantastic first day. His views were echoed by Stefan Ribjitzki, Director International Sales, of Reckmann. He said: "We had a really good day with about 25 leads, so we are pleased.

"The Mexican market and the South American market are increasing at the moment. I think it will soon be our main market."

The day included a press conference with national and regional press. They quizzed Gerresheimer's Hector Garcia and Jose Luis Velez of Interglass about the Mexican glass market.

The event continues today in Guadalajara, Mexico.
