Welcome to Crystallization 2015-1 Week Left!

The organizers are now inviting participants. If you will join the symposium please go through the registration desk (2nd floor) during conference.

Welcome to The 11th International Symposium on Crystallization in Glasses and Liquids (Crystallization 2015). The Symposium has a long history, having started in USA in 1960. Since then, the Symposium has been held more nine times with a great success, in USA again (1971, 1981, 1992, 2006), in Brazil (1996, 2009), in Liechtenstein (2000), in UK (2003), and in Germany (2012). Crystallization is one of the most important topics in thermodynamically metastable glasses, and its behavior and kinetics are related to the feature of the base glass such as chemical composition and structure. To understand crystallization in glass means to understand glass itself. Through the design and control of nucleation and crystallization, various functional glass-ceramics have been developed and used commercially. The Symposium provide opportunities for discussions not only on the nucleation and crystallization in glasses and liquids, but also on the topics related to the crystallization such as glass structure. Crystallization 2015 is held in Nagaoka, Japan, with the help of the TC-7 (Nucleation, Crystallization and Glass-Ceramics Committee of the International Congress on Glass (ICG)). We have a great honor to organize this symposium and welcome glass/materials scientists and researchers, chemists, and physicists to share their ideas and new visions for glasses.
