Glassman Latin America 2015: Pneumofore review

Back from Guadalajara where we met several Mexican customers, many European suppliers and hardly any North American. This exhibition took place from 22 to 23 September with the Pneumofore presentation 'Exact Vacuum and Compressed Air for Hollow Glass forming'.

The fortunate presence of glassworks dedicated to quality products such as tableware, limited edition bottles, containers with intricate shapes for the cosmetic industry and similar, offers a good ground for the Pneumofore solutions. Exact vacuum and pressure level are mandatory to keep a low rejection rate due to severe quality inspection. Optimized moulding with attention to speed, but more to quality, is typical for small to mid-sized glass plants.

Obviously, also large mass production factories are interested, when payback times are as short as 18 months, as obsolete liquid ring vacuum pumps are often served with unclean and insufficiently cold water.
