Post Time:Nov 10,2015Classify:Industry NewsView:445

The International Partners in Glass Research (IPGR) group requires a Project Manager in research and development.

The IPGR is a research association that was founded 1984 and is based in Switzerland. Its vision is to create a vital, international research network and conduct development projects with glass container manufacturers in non-competitive markets.

A Project Manager is required for its subsidiary in Aachen, Germany, for research in an international environment, with a high motivation for team-orientated hands-on work.

The successful applicant will lead and manage tailor-made R&D projects from kick-off to implementation. After strategic and technical consulting, you will establish the timelines, manage internal and external resources, and conduct the R&D work together with other IPGR members. You will implement derived results at our member companies.

We are looking for outstanding candidates with sound scientific education, relevant working experience, and a strong track record in the glass industry, preferably container glass. You are ideally an engineer or material-scientist with a focus on inorganic materials, preferably glass, and you have a sound background in glass melting and glass forming processes, material science of non-metallic materials and thermodynamics of energy intensive processes.

Experience of project management and team coordination  is mandatory. Fluent English and a willingness to travel internationally is a must.

If you would like to apply please send your application to Dr. Christian Roos, IPGR: christian.roos@ipgr.ch
