Laboratory/Technical Manager job opening

James Kent Group, a leading specialist in ceramics, requires a laboratory/technical manager for its Stoke-on-Trent, UK, site.

The role is ideal for an experienced materials specialist with a proven technical/managerial background.

The candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient running of the laboratory, while heading up the R&D team research team and providing technical sales support.  

The candidate should: hold a materials science/chemistry qualification to degree level, have practical knowledge of material properties, be able to manage a team and work on own initiative, and have knowledge of ISO quality and environmental standards and protocol.

Salary is competitive and the company offers a supported pension scheme, 25-days holiday PA and healthcare plan.
