Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding with Alexandria University, one of the country’s historical institutions founded in 1938, to promote the study of glass.
On the program: the setting up of a glass association in Egypt, with Alexandria University being the academic sponsor and Saint-Gobain Glass the industrial partner.
The business also undertakes to provide training to the faculty of engineering students as part of its social responsibility. It will in addition supply all types of glass needed to carry on studies in the field of heat and light control aimed at reducing energy consumption.
From this not-for-profit cooperation, Saint-Gobain aims to be more involved in developing façades in Egypt, promoting its high energy-efficiency solutions in line with the Group’s strategy to “be the reference for sustainable habitat”.
