Entrepreneur magazine listed Glass Doctor No. 277 in its 2009 “Franchise 500” list, as published in the January 2009 issue. The company was ranked No. 312 in 2008.
Glass Doctor is the nation’s largest full-service glass provider, serving the residential, automotive and commercial glass repair and replacement markets at more than 375 locations.
“It’s a great honor for the entire Glass Doctor franchise team to be in this elite group,” President Mark Dawson said. “We represent more than 170 active franchise owners who work hard to deliver the highest quality service possible to our customers. It’s rewarding that their efforts over the past year have been recognized by Entrepreneur magazine.”
This year Entrepreneur magazine also ranked Glass Doctor No. 75 in its list of Top 100 Home-Based Franchises. Glass Doctor trains and motivates franchisees to “get to the next level” by outgrowing the home and opening a shop, and then by outgrowing the shop and opening a storefront.
In 2008 Glass Doctor opened 19 new shop locations. Five more locations are expected to open in early 2009, including the first two Glass Doctor franchises in Canada.
“We believe customers are looking for a locally owned, one-stop glass shop that can offer professional and timely service,” Dawson said. “Whether you need a window repair, a windshield replacement, or a storefront restoration, you can call Glass Doctor.”
Franchise territories are still available in major U.S. markets, including Bakersfield, Calif.; Buffalo, N.Y.; Dayton, Ohio; Duluth, Minn.; Eugene, Ore.; Lexington, Ky.; San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, Washington, D.C.; and Wichita, Kan. Open Canadian markets include Edmonton, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
