February 27, JSC "Grodno Glassworks" solemn ignition of a new glass furnace. March 15 it will issue its first products. This honorable right was granted to the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin, and Chairman of the Executive Committee Vladimir Kravtsov.
Just two months it needed to modernize the old glass furnace, which will produce packaging for alcoholic beverages businesses. Performance of its 40 tons of glass per day, or 90-100 thousand bottles. As scheduled, the launch took place in a strictly scheduled. Then it will need two weeks to download the batch and cullet, bringing the melting temperature up to 1500 degrees, and already March 15 here will get the first production of improved quality.

- Thanks to the state support of the modernization of the furnace carried out in such a short time, - said Anatoly Kalinin. This oven-less energy-intensive, which will allow us to compete on a fairly hard market of container producers. This is not a bread oven, but it really will be the nurse staff of Grodno steklovarov allow to breathe new life into the production. Anatoly Kalinin said that in recent years the state has had a significant support to enterprises of the glass industry of the country. After upgrading, they will be able to produce competitive products, which will allow to close not only the needs of the domestic market, but also to go for export. Previous stocks of finished products made to improve all glass enterprises of the republic without a breach of contractual obligations on its shipment.
