Zheng Lixin, the Spokesman for MIIT: Great Pressure on Steady Growth

(China Glass Network) As the spokesman of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China (MIIT), Zheng Lixin stated that although some progress had been achieved in industrial economy, there were many challenges and difficulties. Problems of sluggish demand overseas, and structural imbalance still existed in some industries and areas. A considerable number of enterprises are in the dilemma of production and management. They are under immense pressure to achieve a steady growth.

As for the industrial exports, regions facing big challenges are northeast and northwest China, and resource-based provinces. In addition, upstream raw material industries focusing on mining, steel and building materials need to overcome more difficulties.
