The New Panel Technology of “PLAS” Developed by Hon Hai and Sharp Group

(China Glass Network)The joint venture company, Sakai Display Product（SDP）, established by Hon Hai/Foxconn Technology Group and Sharp Corporation has develop a new technology of “PLAS”, which improves the high definition of large-size display panel used in products like TV. It is projected to be used in 8K television that will popular in 2020 or OLED television popular in the future.

This finding will be released at Society for Information Display (SID) in San Francisco. Before this event, Thomson Reuters will scoop this news by interviewing the director of SDP. SDP has applied for many patents concerning PLAS technology in Japan and the 10^th generation production line has gone into operation in April 2016.
