Vetrotech UK introduces new Sales Area Technician

Vetrotech UK has made a brand new staff appointment and is delighted to introduce Gavin Jackson to the UK Sales Area team as Sales Area Technician.  

Coventry resident Gavin joined Vetrotech from Taskmaster Doors in April, one of the UK’s leading metal door system manufacturers, and has already proved to be a fantastic addition to the company.

A very technically-minded individual, his impressive work résumé also includes a spell at S G Aluminium, a fabricator and installer of Architectural Aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling, and shop fronts.

As part of his new role, Gavin has been tasked with developing new fire tests for glazing solutions both internally and externally as well as answering technical queries and working closely with customers and systems companies to develop new products and ranges.

Other responsibilities include collating new product certification manuals for relevant bodies and suppliers as well as the general housekeeping of all existing product certification.

When asked what persuaded him to join Vetrotech and what he’s most looking forward to within his new role, Gavin said: “The chance to work for an established world leading company like Vetrotech was a very exciting opening.”

“I’m enjoying undertaking new fire tests and having the chance to work on numerous varied and unique projects that offer many different challenges and opportunities. Dealing with and coming up with solutions to the technical queries and problems raised also gives me an immense amount of satisfaction.”

Away from his work duties, one of Gavin’s biggest hobbies is cycling.
