Having been operating for seven years, the parapet wall of the float glass production line was tilted inward due to erosion by a variety of complex gases, being scoured by the flame frequently and undergoing local temperature changes; additionally, the parapet wall of # 2 and # 3 chauffer fell off and collapsed. A water bag was used to support the parapet wall temporarily, and zircon bricks were piled beneath; because the space was narrow and the local temperature was relatively high; the zircon bricks were piled into small inverted trapezoidal shape and there was a big gap where the flame soared seriously and the zircon bricks could collapse at any time. By using the ceramic welding technology of the company, refractory bricks were welded and integrated to other walls, and the safe operation of the furnace parapet was ensured.
