Glass Curtains™ – now there’s a clever idea! The name might sound somewhat contradictory: after all, glass is glass and curtains – well, they’re made of fabric, aren’t they? However, it really is a clever way (so clever, that the name is a registered trade mark) of describing a new concept that will make a huge difference to your home, terrace, patio, penthouse or your commercial application such as restaurants, and so on.
Glass Curtains are the perfect solution to those days in Malta when your terrace, balcony or patio becomes a no-go area ... days when it is too hot, cold, wet or, especially, too windy to use your outside living area.
Glass Curtains are a totally frameless glazing system consisting of 10mm toughened safety glass specially designed for balconies, terraces and patios. They are much stronger, supporting winds up to 200km/h, and safer then the laminated glass normally used in Malta. The versatile system allows a series of frameless glass panels to be completely open, completely closed or a combination of both – the choice is yours. When open, your terrace is back to summer mode and because Glass Curtains are totally frameless your view is never interrupted.
With Glass Curtains installed on your terrace or balcony you will gain additional living space – whatever the weather – and reduce outside noise when closed by at least 60 per cent and banish dust and dirt. In addition, both sides of the panels are easy to clean because they can be angled.
The Glass Curtains™, unlike other glazing solutions (sliding or folding doors) can be customised to any shape or size, whether it is straight, curved, short or tall, and with a wide range of colours available the perfect solution can be designed. The system is bottom run (not top hung) and each panels glides effortless on the lower track, which can be completely sunken. The system uses no rollers or bearings and is therefore practically maintenance-free.
