About the Speaker
Gerry Parij is the international marketing manager for Saint-Gobain Sekurit with responsibility for all automotive OEMs that are headquartered in the U.S. Parij also tracks the megatrends unique to the North American market and helps direct that information to research and development (R&D) and other groups to better serve North American customers. He also serves on R&D project steering committees and has been listed as the co-inventor of various technologies. Parij has been with Saint-Gobain Sekurit since 2001 and has extensive experience in project launches, encapsulation and bonding. He has also designed and launched glazing for many primary body openings for OEM customers.
He has 25 years of experience with automotive glazing product design. Before entering the automotive glazing business in 1989, he has extensive experience in large rim fender and fascia molding, encapsulation project launches, R&D, as well as composite FRP design and launches dating back to the mid-1970s. His experience also includes manufacturing and process control optimization projects mostly for the value-add side of the automotive glazing business.
