The group also inspected the new furnace and production line that was installed at the plant last year. It was joined by senior management from Ardagh Irvine’s sister company in Limmared, south Sweden, and representatives from Swedish Glass Recyclers.
The visit was hosted by Graeme Shepherd, director of operations, Irvine, Ardagh Glass UK, who said “We take great pride in the world class facilities we now have in Irvine, and our position as a strategically important supplier to the Scottish spirits industry and major local employer. It was a great pleasure to showcase them to a group of important executives from leading Swedish food and beverage brand owners and retailers, many of whose members are customers of Ardagh Sweden. We shared views and information on recycling, branding and presentation as well as logistics.”
