View Dynamic Glass will enhance occupant comfort and wellness in landmark development in Atlanta’s innovation district
View® announced that it will install View Dynamic Glass at Coda at Tech Square, a first-of-its-kind, mixed-use project developed by Portman Holdings.
Scheduled to complete construction in Midtown Atlanta in 2019, Coda features View Dynamic Glass as one of the major technology showpieces of its 770,000-square-foot development.
Unlike traditional windows that need blinds or shades, View Dynamic Glass automatically adjusts each window’s tint to enable a comfortable environment with reduced heat and glare, and maximize natural light and unobstructed views for Coda’s diverse set of occupants.
Located at the edge of the George Institute of Technology campus, Coda will provide innovative companies the opportunity to colocate with one another and alongside world-class researchers and faculty from Georgia Tech.
Studies have shown outdoor views and daylighting increases worker productivity, comfort and well-being in office environments.
“We are thrilled to be a part of this landmark project that will transform Midtown Atlanta,” said View CEO Rao Mulpuri. “The investment in dynamic glass will elevate the occupant experience at Coda and create an environment where people can thrive and bring new ideas to market. View Dynamic Glass will play a pivotal role in promoting collaboration and innovation among this unique mix of tech workers and academics.”
Attendees of Coda’s groundbreaking ceremony had the opportunity to experience View Dynamic Glass in action. View Dynamic Glass complements a high-speed data center, smart outdoor lounges and stimulating event spaces at Coda.
The project is a development of Portman Holdings and represents a $375 million investment into the Technology Square innovation district.
“The Collaborative Core is the engine that will fuel Coda to function above and beyond a conventional office building, so every element should contribute to its unique environment,” said Ambrish Baisiwala, CEO, Portman Holdings.
“View Dynamic Glass offers a technology to enhance comfort in the work place, while advancing a key technology for the environment ensuring significant increases in energy efficiency. We are elated about this partnership, and look forward to seeing View in the Collaborative Core.”
View Dynamic Glass has already been installed in more than 250 projects across North America in workplace, education, hospitality, and healthcare segments, and more than 150 additional projects are in various stages of construction.
