Sisecam Flat Glass T Meetings hosts Dan Stubbergaard, founder and creative director of COBE

This year’s Sisecam Flat Glass T Meetings’ slogan was "Transparent Face of Architecture" with Dan Stubbergaard, the founder and creative director of COBE, who gave a presentation titled "Our Urban Living Room".


This year, Sisecam Flat Glass held the third "T Meetings" in cooperation with Arkitera Architecture Center under the slogan "Transparent Face of Architecture". Sisecam Flat Glass hosted Dan Stubbergaard, the founder and creative director of COBE.

Designer of various award-winning projects thanks to his unique approach in architecture, Dan Stubbergaard shared his architectural perspective and experience gained in COBE's projects with architects, designers, sector professionals and architecture students. Dan Stubbergaard's presentation titled "Our Urban Living Room" was attended by almost 1000 architects and architecture students.


Adding momentum to the building sector with its innovative products, Sisecam Flat Glass held the third "T Meetings" under the slogan of “Transparent Face of Architecture”.


At the event attended by 1,000 architects and architecture students, Dan Stubbergaard expressed his pleasure in the attention shown to the event. As a designer of many award-winning projects and a well-known figure in the field of design and architecture, Dan Stubbergaard talked about how people's and communities' problems can be solved by architecture.


Noting that the world population will exceed 10 billion by 2030, Dan Stubbergaard commented: "The increasing urban population results in architectural democratization. The part architects and designers have to play will increase even further. As architects and urban planners, we believe that the demands of our target communities need to be fulfilled in consultation with them. This is what we are trying to do with every project."


In his presentation titled "Our Urban Living Room", Dan Stubbergaard noted that there are various difficulties and complex problems faced by cities and that design was the essential tool to overcome these challenges, and shared some examples from his projects with the participants.


In addition to his works in the field of architecture, Dan teaches architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, and holds seminars about COBE's current projects at international conferences. The projects of COBE include Ragnarock (Roskilde, Denmark), Frederiksvej Kindergarten (Frederiksberg, Denmark), Nørreport Station (Copenhagen, Denmark), Forfatterhuset Kindergarten (Copenhagen, Denmark), Porsgrunn Maritime Museum (Porsgrunn, Norway), The Library (Copenhagen, Denmark), Israels Plads (Copenhagen, Denmark) and Taastrup Theater (Taastrup, Denmark).


Highlighting that fast urbanization changes life styles, Dan Stubbbergaard said: "Istanbul is the best example of growing urban transformation. Each city has to offer its own solutions. To ensure that your city is a well-planned one, you must be able to use it as an extension of your living room."
