Difference between Glass Fiber Cloth and Glass

Is there any difference between glass fiber and glass? They are different in the materials adopted and thus the processing methods. Actually, glass can not be fired. The fire we see sometimes is resulting from the resin materials or other materials applied on the glass fiber cloth surface to change the attributes of glass. pure glass fiber cloth applied with high-temperature coatings can be made into fireproof clothes, gloves, blanket products. Otherwise, you will feel it itchy touching with your shin directly.

Glass is a kind of inorganic material formed in high temperature environment(usually 1100℃) and it won’t melt bellow the softening temperature. But when the temperature gets above the softening point, the glass will melt, soften, and decompose.

On the other hand, glass fiber cloth is made from pulling into thin glass wire which has good softness property. glass fiber cloth is finished when the loon motor weaves the yarn from wire into cloth. In fact, glass wire is too thin to show perfect temperature resistance performance. It is just as candle can burn out thin copper wire.
