The information systems have now been restored.
On June 27, 2017, Verallia, like many other businesses and organizations in France and abroad, was hit by the NotPetya cyber attack. Verallia immediately isolated all its systems to protect its data and stop the virus from spreading. The email messaging system was notably suspended. All plants however continued to produce normally and most deliveries were ensured, thanks to the remarkable mobilisation of the teams in all countries.
The information systems have now been restored, without loss of any pre-cyber attack data. No data (personal, customer, employee, supplier, etc.) have been disclosed to any third party. The corporate messaging system has been restored just like all Verallia’s electronic means of communication with its customers and partners.
At the same time, Verallia’s teams are working on implementing the best protections available to date to cope with the complexity and multiplication of this new type of threat.
“I would like to thank our customers and partners for their understanding and their loyalty in such a trying context. I have really appreciated their messages of support. I would also like to pay tribute to the exceptional skill, resourcefulness and solidarity of our teams, which have enabled Verallia to continue serving its customers” commented Jean-Pierre Floris, chairman and CEO of the Verallia group.
