GGI will showcase innovative bird-friendly glass as well as new fire-rated and mirror products, magnetic markerboards, and patterned and etched products.
General Glass International (GGI) will exhibit advanced products addressing some of the hottest industry trends at GlassBuild America (Booth 1605) in Atlanta, Georgia, September 12-14.
Featured products will include GGI’s new ORNILUX Bird Protection Glass, its recently introduced EnduroShield coating, and Pyrobel fire-resistive glass. GGI will also exhibit its new tinted mirrors, magnetic markerboards, and patterned glass.
GGI is pleased to now offer ORNILUX Bird Protection Glass. Developed by Arnold Glas, ORNILUX has a patterned, UV-reflective coating that makes it visible to birds while remaining virtually transparent to the human eye.
This reduces the risks of bird collisions and expands the definition of environmental glass to include wildlife conservation. ORNILUX is available as a heat-treatable coating for stock size panes, with the option to order cut-to-size, heat-treated units.
GGI will also display samples of EnduroShield, a new, durable glass coating for a wide range of glass types. Machine applied in-house, ensuring uniform coverage, EnduroShield chemically bonds to the glass, transforming it into a high-performance, hydrophobic surface, while protecting against staining and etching.
Unlike other coatings that can only be applied to clear and low iron glass, EnduroShield can also be applied to acid etched glass, digitally-printed glass and patterned glass.
