LCD optical film maker Wah Hong sees February revenues up 16%

Post Time:Mar 12,2009Classify:Company NewsView:488

Taiwan-based LCD optical film maker Wah Hong Industrial has posted February consolidated revenues of NT$333 million (US$9.54 million), up 16% sequentially, but down 8.31% on year, according to data from the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).

Wah Hong indicated that February revenue growth was mainly due to recovering demand for smaller-size LCD TVs and low-cost PCs, and judging from its order visibility Wah Hong expects its March consolidated revenues to increase 10-20% sequentially.

Wah Hong is working to increase its share of shipments to Korean and Chinese vendors this year, market sources noted, adding that Taiwan's TFT-LCD panel makers AU Optronics (AUO) and Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) are currently Wah Hong's major clients with each accounting for 40% of its total shipments.
