Don’t miss the 18th Annual Pacific Building Trade Expo, the go-to event of the year for Hawaii’s building industry, coming to the Hawai‘i Convention Center on Tuesday, October 24th.



The Pacific Building Trade (PBT) Expo, is presented by Honblue, Inc. and jointly produced by the Honolulu Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Honolulu) and the Honolulu Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI).


Admission for attendees is FREE and exclusive to building industry, design professionals & contractors.

Where: Hawaii Convention Center

This Expo is the largest trade venue serving Hawai’i’s building design professionals and contractors and it outpaces many mainland shows in the diverse audience and its ability to meet and beat show floor expectations.  The 2016 EXPO was a huge success with over 1,400 people in attendance.

FREE SEMINARS - EARN UP TO 4 AIA/CES LUS (HSW)

Our Expo Committee also offered a full schedule of FREE accredited continuing education seminars addressing current issues, innovations and techniques in the building design industry.  AIA Honolulu is the registered provider.

Subjects cover areas including:

  • Sustainability

  • Intern Development

  • Practice, Technical, Design

  • and Exhibitor sessions.


Attendees earned needed Health, Safety and Welfare learning units (HSW) to apply to your requirement for annual renewal of your Hawaii State license, while satisfying AIA requirements for continuing education.


AIA Honolulu Annual Business Meeting

The Pacific Building Trade EXPO also serves as the venue for the annual AIA Honolulu Business Meeting and lunch, led this year by our 2017 AIA Honolulu President Chris Hong, AIA.
