The Kinects Tower in Seattle derived its name from the energetic neighbourhoods that surrounds it & with those it “connects”. Designed by Bumgardner Architects, the 440 foot tower appears as an inverted pyramid w/ a striking glass roof top cube that houses phenomenal views & amenities.

As the building slopes downward & inward, Bumgardner Architects say, “The result is particularly dramatic on the interior, units feel like glass cubes sliced by sloping columns of raw exposed concrete.” 4100 sealed glazed units of Vitro Solarban 60 were supplied by Vitrum Glass Group.

This type of glass coating blocks 62% of solar energy while allowing 70% of visible light to pass through it. By employing a warm edge spacer w/in the units we further improve thermal efficiency by increasing the internal temperature up to 65% & reduce the risk of condensation by up to 70%.

Glazing can help reduce carbon emissions by reducing the need for energy consumption while saving money on fuel bills for the people that occupy the spaces. Glazing systems help to enhance health by visually connecting people w/ their community & to nature while also virtually eliminating potentially harmful bacteria.
