Gleaming elegance, high-quality transparency, and an infinite variety of shapes. Gerresheimer’s bottle designs leave nothing to be desired, as visitors to booth E07 in hall 4 at Cosmetic Business in Munich on June 6 and 7 will be able to see for themselves. The company recently introduced a high-performance labeling system that enables this step to be completed before the bottles have even been filled.

“In offering in-house labeling, we’re responding to a frequently expressed customer requirement,” explains Bernd Stauch, Director Sales Europe. For customers, he explains, it is all about reducing the number of work processes on the filling line. By arranging for labeling to be done directly at Gerresheimer after the bottles and containers have been made, he says, an entire work step can be dispensed with.

Gerresheimer’s glassworks in Tettau in Germany and Momignies in Belgium specialize in producing high-quality glass packaging for the cosmetics industry. Their range includes perfume bottles for fragrances, deodorant sprays and roll-ons, cream pots for facial care, and nail varnish bottles. The plants are also equipped with their own design and mould workshop as well as a decoration department, where the glass products can be finished using techniques such as screen printing, pad printing, hot stamping, color spraying, acid etching, and labeling as well as additional finishing processes, for which Gerresheimer works with selected specialist companies: metalization, sandblasting, digital printing, and lasering.
