Turbo Spray Midwest Inc., based in Howell, Mich., has introduced a glass coating system for concentrated photovoltaics (CPV) system manufacturers.
The product's cycle time of 12 seconds per mirror includes multiple protective-coating applications with independent infrared cure for each coating application, the company notes. Work-holders are custom-designed and manufactured based on mirror size, shape and draw.
In addition, fluid delivery and application includes pre-heated coatings, precise fluid delivery control and custom spray heads based on customer requirements. Machine controls are programmable logic controller-based, with a remote-mounted touch screen. Turnkey services include coating application testing, design, build, qualified machine runoff, installation and training.
