Donghai: Large-caliber quartz glass tube unveiled to break the overseas technology monopoly

In Donghai County - the famous crystal town in the world, Jiangsu Province, a home-grown large-caliber quartz glass tube for integrated circuit (IC) has been qualified as a national key and new product by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The product breaks the technology monopoly of foreign companies, making a new record of using continuous welding method in production.

The glass tube is widely used in IC fabrication, space industry, laser technology, communications technology, petroleum, chemical, food and medical instruments.
