The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) recognized two members for their dedication to the organization and the fenestration industry at its fall 2018 membership meeting in Albuquerque, N.M.

Mason Fritz, who received the Emerging Leader Award, was recognized for his initiative to become more involved and take on leadership roles within the organization. Dennis Anderson, Member of the Year, was honored for his commitment and dedication to NFRC’s mission and support of NFRC’s status as a public service corporation, putting the best interests of the general public ahead of his company. Additionally, both honorees are active volunteers and participants in NFRC meetings and groups, helping lead the discussion among its membership.

Fritz, who has been attending meetings since 2015, has become an important part of NFRC, according to the organization. A few of his achievements include leading a technical task group, spearheading events and trainings and participating in the condensation resistant work group to provide research and recommendations for the new rating.

“Mason is always willing to speak up at meetings, even if it’s not in agreement with the majority,” says Deb Callahan, CEO of the NFRC. “He consistently shows enthusiasm for affecting change and taking on new leadership roles with NFRC. We look forward to his leadership now and for years to come.”

Member of the Year recipient Anderson has been working with NFRC for the past 24 years and has worked for multiple test facilities in and around Minneapolis doing thermal and acoustic testing. During the last year, Anderson provided leadership and support for the new condensation index (CI) rating, the RCBC project, and as a member of the APC. He leads two groups that are working to develop the CI rating to be used for industry stakeholders.

“Dennis reaches out to all parties to gather feedback and answer questions. The dedication and approach he has taken with these projects are what make him stand out as our 2018 Dariush Arasteh Memorial Member of the Year,” says Callahan. “His constant support and work for NFRC is unsurpassed and we’re thankful for his commitment to the NFRC mission and vision.”

“We are eager to welcome multiple new members who have brought even more innovation and achievements within the NFRC Membership Program, and these award recipients set the example for our newest members,” adds board chairperson Paul Bush.
