"The history reflected in the glass ...". Under such a name, for the first time, an exposition devoted to the history of the village of Misheronsky and its main production, the glass factory, is presented at the Shatura Museum of Local Lore. Visitors could see figural products of glassblowers of the 19th and 20th centuries, their working tools, get acquainted with archival photo and documentary materials.

A special guest of the museum during the days of the exhibition was a descendant of merchants Kosterev and a collector of figured and artistic glassware Andrey Ushakov. The other day, one of the publishing houses in Moscow published the book “The Russian Figure Bottle” by Andrei Ushakov. The glossy, well-illustrated edition is unique in that it contains the material on the history of Russian figured bottles for the first time collected and systematized. Now this book takes pride of place among the historical materials of the Shatura Museum.

- The exhibition has been working for more than a month. During this period, 350 people met with the history of the village of Misheronsky: pupils of kindergartens, schools, students of the energy technical school, visitors to the social services centers of Shatura and Roshal, and, naturally, people who are not indifferent to the history of their native land and guests of our district. In the future, it is planned to once again open the exhibition “History reflected in glass ...” in our museum, ”commented the director of the museum, Marina Kling.
