Glaston has closed a deal for a RC Series™ flat tempering line to Technical Glass And Aluminium Company L.L.C., based in the United Arab Emirates. The order has been recognized in Glaston’s Q4/2018 order book and is part of Glaston’s fourth-quarter anticipated order intake. The furnace with capability to process glass up to a maximum size of 3300 millimetres by 12000 millimetres will be delivered in the early part of 2019.

The RC Series™ tempering line offers the best heating accuracy available on the market and incorporates the fusion technology that enables flexibility for mixed production. The line is equipped with the iLooK Distortion & Anisotropy reporting system that measures online glass distortions and anisotropy of each tempered glass that is processed. iLooK makes sure that deviations are instantly reported and only top quality glass will be installed.

“As the use of tempered glass is growing, issues related to quality have become more important and not least for glasses in bigger sizes,” said Pekka Hytti, SVP EMEA of Glaston Corporation. “The RC Series with iLook Distortion & Anisotropy is the perfect choice for glass processors who want to meet growing quality requirements in an up-to-date and efficient way.”

Since its establishment in 1989, Technical Glass And Aluminium Company L.L.C has been growing at a steady pace and today the company is one of the leading glass processors in the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cooperation Council markets. The company is known for its good reputation and for providing quality products and outstanding customer service.

Technical Glass And Aluminium Company L.L.C has relied on Glaston technology since 2000. The new furnace will hold a key position in their strategy to process big glasses up to 12 metres.

“Since our inception, Technical Glass has pursued some of the most difficult and challenging glazing projects in the region. We continue our long-established partnership with Glaston with the new 12 metre tempering line and Technical Glass will continue to push the boundaries of glass processing in the region,” said Hisham Hassan, Group General Manager at Technical Glass And Aluminium Company L.L.C.
