CORNING, N.Y. - The Corning Museum of Glass held free glass making classes for veterans and active military members November 10 and 11. The veterans were able to come in and make a glass object themselves, while learning the art of glass blowing.
Kurt Carlson, a team lead at the museum says "It's a good way to recognize the vets and say thank you." He also thinks it's a good way for the vets to express themselves in an artistic way.
For the month of November, the museum will allow veterans to visit for free and guests of veterans will receive a 15% discount on admission.
