The 21st edition of Vitrum was introduced at a gala dinner at Innside Düsseldorf Derendorf in Germany.
The Vitrum Gala Dinner was held to introduce its 2019 show. Representatives of glass associations and international trade press attended.
Laura Biason, Director of Vitrum, said: “We are extremely pleased with how the evening went. It was an honour to host the representatives of the leading international glass associations and the foremost trade press from 13 different countries.”
The meeting was organised by Vitrum and supported by the ITA (Italian Trade Agency). The President of Vitrum, Dino Zandonella Necca, introduced the 2019 edition of the show, emphasising its highly international appeal and many updates designed to better meet the needs of industry professionals.
Mr Necca said: “We are optimistic; the forecasts for 2019 are already extremely favourable and a reflection of the very positive outcome in 2017. On closing day, the exhibitors said they were extremely happy with the high quality of visitors to the show. Thanks to the active involvement of manufacturers, associations, universities and research centres, and to its organisational autonomy and flexibility, Vitrum completely revamped its format to respond proactively to the needs of glass industry professionals. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions, and willing to build the future together!”
Plans for Vitrum 2019 include: a dedicated MatchMaking area for companies to meet with agents and distributors; the participation of international buyers organised with the support of the ITA; and networking and entertainment such as the Exhibitor Event. The new‘Vitrum specialized - 12 themed pathways’ will allow visitors to plan their visits based on their needs and preferences, organise their time efficiently and have immediate access to all the information they need.The most popular services from the 2017 edition will also return.
Mr Necca concluded: “After the successful turning point of the 2017 edition, Vitrum 2019 will provide industry professionals with exclusive services for a very highly-targeted visitor profile. It will be a fertile ground for developing new ideas and a great opportunity for business expansion and development for the entire industry.”
Vitrum 2019 will take place on the 1st-4th October 2019 at Fiera Milano Rho in Milan, Italy.
