Soda Ash Market Slides Down

(China Glass Network) Light soda ash market in Middle and Eastern China are currently experiencing prices falling situations. The same situations also happen to Southern and Northern China, which already lower 50-150 yuan per ton. Orders of heavy soda ash also drop along with its quotation about 50 yuan per ton. 

Influenced by supplying and demanding fluctuations, soda ash quotations are varied from regions to regions, which the range is quite big. Up to now, light soda ash quotations stay between 1,800 to 1,900 yuan per ton, while heavy soda ash prices maintain during 1,900 to 2,300 yuan per ton. 

Future soda ash market is projected to slide down due to oversupply and imbalanced regional supplying and demanding. Restricted by costs, manufacturers in Henan and Jiangsu drop their rates quickly leading to fewer prices falling. However, some costal regions and Qinghai market are expected to have a new round of quotations dropping due to inconvenient transportation and high prices.
