GPD 2019 seminar on high-rise construction

This year’s GPD conference will include a seminar dedicated to high-rise construction.

The seminar will comprise of 20 workshops and be titled Nordic Exposure. It will take place in Espoo Otaniemi, coordinated by professor, architect Kimmo Lintula (Aalto University) and Peter Smithson (BG&E Facades).

GPD said that the seminar draws its name from the factors that instigate the popularity of high-rise constructions in urban areas. 

Factors ranging from increased demand and rising prices of properties to operational efficiency, energy-saving and thermoregulation. 

All the challenges that encompass the solutions designed to create outstanding architecture, shaped by the aforementioned factors, will be addressed in the seminar.

The 16th Glass Performance Conference takes place in Tampere, June 26-28th 2019 and brings more than 230 abstracts for expert presentations and workshops.
