Prime-Line Products Acquired By Great Star USA Tools Inc.

Prime-Line Products has been acquired by Great Star USA Tools Inc., part of the Great Star Group of companies. Great Star, a manufacturer and supplier of tools, is the largest hand tool vendor in Asia and the U.S., according to the company.

Located in Redlands, Calif., Prime-Line is a supplier of door and window replacement hardware, supplying residential, commercial and industrial products.

“This acquisition by Great Star represents a very positive change for us and our ability to grow,” says Ron Turk, Prime-Line president and CEO. “Our brand and products we are known for will continue to be the foundation of our business; what will be taken to a whole new level are the variety of products we offer and resulting service levels for our current and future customers.”

The transaction closed on February 28.

“With this partnership, Great Star will be able to leverage Prime-Line’s significant growth in omni-channel commerce as well as logistics capacity to build out additional opportunities for our combined customer bases,” Turk adds.
