The Krook is an impressive new build development, situated on a previously dilapidated piece of land. Situated in the heart of Genk, it was a large scale urban regeneration project that now houses a library, laboratories and offices for Gent University.
Designed by the Ghent bureau Coussée & Goris in collaboration with RCR Arquitectes, the Waalse Krook building is a bold, modern construction that elegantly combines durable materials – glass, steel and cement.
To complement the modern aesthetics and open-plan functionality of the building, AMG’s frameless glass balustrade solution was selected. AMG designed and installed approximately 800 metres of glass balustrading throughout the construction of the Waalse Krook project.
