The DF 75 Si range of aluminium windows has been developed by Sapa (now owned by Hydro) to incorporate many specialist double glazed aluminium window profiles which, when used in conjunction with many of the standard DF 75 Si aluminium opening vent and frame products, allow the construction of bespoke high performance window assemblies.
Assisted by the integrity of its advanced polyamide thermal break technology, such assemblies reduce the need for complex and costly sealed unit specifications to obtain demanding thermal performance requirements.
These flexible aluminium window assemblies can include fixed and opening light as well as panels and doors to make up a single larger aperture solution. The inherent strength of the system allows for units to be constructed offsite. The Sapa DF 75 Si aluminium window system is suitable for both new build and refurbishment projects, commercial and residential. There are four types of DF 75 Si aluminium windows:
Sapa DF 75 Si Aluminium Casement Windows
The DF 75 Si aluminium casement window’s thermal performance is outstanding, and was the first UK aluminium window to achieve a “A++” BFRC rating, plus its excellent performance characteristics make these commercial aluminium casement windows an ideal solution for today’s residential projects. The product is PAS 24 accredited and also “Secured By Design”.
Top hung, side hung and fixed lights available, including frame couplers and curtain wall interface. This casement system achieves highest class weather performance for water tightness, air permeability and wind resistance. Tailed gaskets and centre seal reduce thermal radiation and mean that costly foam inserts into the profiles are not required.
Sapa DF 75 Si Aluminium Tilt Before Turn Windows
The DF 75 Si aluminium tilt-before-turn window is the next product in Sapa’s latest generation of aluminium window and façade products. Just like the casement version, the tilt before turn window utilises advanced polyamide thermal break technology, as the DF 75mm Si aluminium double glazed window system provides high thermal performance without the need to resort to complex and costly sealed unit specifications.
Aluminium tilt-before-turn windows are an ideal solution for high rise or commercial applications, combining ventilation with easy cleaning facilities and large span openings. DF 75 Si TBT windows have a unique operating action that minimises the risk of damage to the product or injury to the operator. The handle is key operated and the key must be inserted in order to access the turn mode.
Once the window is closed, it automatically defaults to the tilt only mode. Hinges are concealed within the frame, which removes colour matching issues and prevents a clash with plaster lines. Flush vents and flat profiles combine to create a simple and streamlined appearance.
Sapa DF 75 Si Aluminium Pivot Windows
Pivot windows have traditionally offered maximum ventilation to any building. With their ability to rotate by up to 90 degrees, the Sapa DF 75 Si Pivot aluminium window is available in either horizontal or vertical vent options, which provide maximum ventilation combined with easy cleaning facilities. Its hinges are integral to the frame, removing colour matching issues.
Pivot & fixed lights available, including frame couplers and curtain wall interface. The product is “Secured By Design” and also PAS 24 Accredited. It has passed the highest class weather performance for water tightness, air permeability and wind resistance. Tailed gaskets and centre seal reduce thermal radiation and mean that costly foam inserts into the profiles are not required.
Sapa DF 75 Si Aluminium Reversible Windows
The Sapa DF 75 Si aluminium reversible window provides access to the exterior face of a vent from inside the building. This aluminium window type effectively rotates through 180 degrees outside of the building line allowing for easy cleaning of both the aluminium window frame and glazing, plus as a result do not interfere with internal design elements such as blinds and other fixtures.
This makes them ideal for where cleaning from the inside is required without impacting on valuable internal space. Utilising advanced polyamide thermal break technology, the DF 75 Si Reversible Window provides exceptional thermal performance without the need to resort to complex and costly sealed unit specifications. PAS 24 Accredited “Secured by Design” these reversible top swing aluminium windows offer reversible vent and fixed light combinations, including frame couplers and curtain wall interface.
