Energy savings potential of high-performance glazing at GLASSPRINT 2019

Post Time:Dec 04,2019Classify:Industry NewsView:1170

On November 28, Glass for Europe went to GLASSPRINT 2019, in Dusseldorf, to meet representatives from the glass decoration sector and present the outcome of the TNO study on energy savings and CO2 emission reduction potential from glazing.

In his presentation, Luca Oggianu, Advocacy and Communication Advisor at Glass for Europe, went through the main findings of the TNO report and emphasised the central role that high-performance glazing will play in decarbonising the European building stock. A higher window replacement rate and the installation of readily available high-performance glazing could deliver massive energy savings and induced CO2 emissions reductions in 10 years only.

The European event dedicated to glass decoration is organised by ESMA, the European association for specialist printing manufacturers of screen, digital and flexo technology and Chameleon Business Media, publisher of Glass Worldwide magazine.
