What is the tempered glass？

Toughened glass is actually one of the prestressed glass.

The ordinary glass was processed through physical methods to enhance the strength of the glass so that the glass surface to carrying pressure was increased, thus greatly improving the bearing capacity of glass, At last, it became a tempered glass.

The advantages of tempered glass

1）Strong, tempered glass is not only strong, but also withstand the heavy winds in stormy weather, increasing the safety of housing.

2）Safety, broken small obtuse particles, no significant harm to the human body

3）Thermal stability, tempered glass has good thermal stability, can withstand the temperature difference of about 110 °C

Can Tempered glass be sawed off?

Tempered glass is typically cut by machine or laser, but conventional cutting ways result in the compressive strength of the glass edge decrease. However,  now there is a new cutting way, that is to cut on the front and back of the glass which coated with an acid-resistant protective film, leaving the location of the cutting mouth, and then sprinkled corrosive liquid on both sides of the glass, it will be cut after 60 minutes. This cutting way does not result in cracks of the glass or cutting edge and does not reduce the compressive strength of the glass cutting edge.
