Heat Soak test, the so-called “HST” is carried out on tempered glass with the aim of reducing to a minimum the risk of spontaneous breakage of the glass sheet.
The test allows to certify the tempered glass in compliance with the UNI EN 14179 standard and significantly eliminate the possibility of sheet failure, which would break in place due to the presence of nickel sulphide (NiS) created by sulphur and nickel particles, which inevitably end up in the glass mass during production in the blast furnace.
