Russian Federation: flat glass market overview, September 2020

CM Pro, an independent investment consulting company in the housing construction and construction materials industry in Russia and CIS, reports that in September 2020, 21.6 million m2 of flat glass were produced, 3.4 percent less than in August 2020.

AGC Flat Glass Wedge LLC, Salavatsteklo JSC and Guardian Glass Rostov LLC are still leaders in the production of flat glass, producing 42.8 percent of all glass in the Russian Federation.

The largest reduction in production since the beginning of the year occurred at:

• OJSC AGC BSZ -5.4 million m2 (-33.5 percent) to 10.7 million m2,

• LLC AGC Flat Glass Wedge -5.2 million m2 (-14.5 percent) to 30.7 million m2

• and OOO Guardian Glass Rostov -4.2 million m2 (-19.2 percent) to 17.7 million m2.
