ZIPPE installs silos at Wiegand-Glas Schleusingen in just one day

In the middle of November, two furnace pre-silos from ZIPPE, for the new furnace 2 at Wiegand-Glas in Schleusingen, were integrated and installed. 

As the tank building was already closed, the two silos were inserted via the cold end hall and erected directly afterwards.

While setting up the silos, maximum concentration and precision work was indispensable. The installation of the silos could be realized in one day only, thanks to the experienced ZIPPE supervisor Karl Möller, the ZIPPE team and great Wiegand personnel on site.

The new furnace, which is fed with batch from these two silos, is to start production in 2021.
