Glass International hosted a series of talks from industry experts for its Renewable Glass Conference, attracting 271 attendees from around the globe.
Companies in attendance included O-I, Bangkok Glass, Nihon Yamamura Glass, Saint-Gobain, Şişecam, Bormioli Luigi, Guardian industries, Vetropack, Saverglass, Grupo Vical and CristlChile.
This resulted in attendees from a variety of countries such as Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Turkey, Mexico and the USA.
The 15 presentations included topics such as biofuel, decarbonisation, hydrogen trials, sustainability, furnace design, melting technology and digitalisation, with presentations from Coca-Cola, NSG Group, Encirc, FIC UK, CelSian, Horn Glass and Sorg among others.
The speakers were also available for a live Q&A session alongside the talks, which led to some in-depth discussions on how the new technologies introduced will be implemented into the glass industry.
