HORN Glass Industries: Tin bath excellence made in Germany

Beside glass melting furnaces and glass plant technology, HORN Glass Industries is a well known supplier of tin baths. The expertise gained from decades of experience in the glass melting business, helps HORN to find the perfect tin bath solution for every project.

All key components are produced in HORN’s own manufacturing workshop in Germany, e.g. the protective gas mixing station. This station is used to mix pure nitrogen and hydrogen to produce protective gas (also called “shield gas”). To prevent oxidation of tin melt, the atmosphere in the tin bath should be neutral-reducing (without oxygen). For this purpose protective gas is supplied into the tin bath.
