Pharmaceutical glass manufacturer Schott is to invest €76 million in Hungary to expand its production capacity.
The group said it was planning to expand its production facility at its Lukácsháza, Hungary facility to meet growing global demand for prefillable syringes (PFS) made of glass.
“The added capacity will greatly benefit the global market and strengthen supply security for major pharmaceutical companies and contract manufacturing organizations,” said Andreas Reisse, Executive Vice President of Schott’s Pharma business unit.
