Saint-Gobain Isover is shaking up the insulation market with a new generation of glass wool (G3) that meets the criteria for sustainable construction. More specifically, the new range complies with France's energy efficient building (BBC) and high environmental quality (HQE®) labels.
Isover's G3 glass wool delivers:
- Excellent thermal, acoustic and fire performance, as certified by independent organizations.
- A low environmental impact. G3 insulation contains 95% sand and recycled glass, for excellent end-of-life recylability. What's more, the manufacturing process uses 4% less energy and 6% less water than for earlier generations. The insulation is also highly compressible, for optimized shipping.
- Excellent interior air quality. Volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions have been reduced thanks to the G3's new organic and plant-based binders.
The G3 range will be available for the entire "building" product line, in more attractive and informative packaging, available in French stores from October 15th, 2009.
