Glass Exports at $300m Annually

More than $300 million worth of different types of glass are exported from Iran annually, according to secretary of Iran Glass Industry Association.

“The production of glass, including sheet glass, structural glass, crystal, bottles, packaging glass and automotive glass, is expected to reach between 2.85 million tons and 3 million tons this year,” Hossein Zojaji was also quoted as saying by IRIB News.

“The glass industry is among the few enterprises [in Iran] that is doing quite well these days. We have access to affordable energy and ample raw materials. Every year, we inaugurate new firms and business is thriving.”
